BIOGRAPHY
Having started acting at a young age, Bella Dayne's passion and talent led her to attend the prestigious acting school The Stella Adler School Of Acting in New York City. Shortly after and after playing theatre Off-Broadway in NYC, she was offered a wide range of roles in TV and Film, for which she would later become known for: characters with an enormous variety of accents and backgrounds (such as French-Canadian, British, Italian, German, Russian, Polish, Spanish, characters from various regions of the US). She is fluent in several languages.
Bella Dayne starred in the series Humans (AMC) which aired to great acclaim over several seasons in the US and the UK.
Dayne played the popular role of Astrid, a free-spirited young woman. Shortly thereafter, she played Eliette, a French-Canadian Québec idealist and member of a radical group in the mini-series "Guerrilla" (Showtime), set in 1970s London and during the birth of the black power movement. The series, starring Idris Elba and Freida Pinto, aired in the US and Europe.
In the Netflix and BBC series Troy: Fall of a City, directed by Emmy Award-winner Owen Harris, Bella Dayne played the lead role of Helen of Troy, an extremely tragic ancient figure who broke down barriers for women of her time. The series was based on Homer's Iliad.
This was followed by the role of the fierce, unbridled and powerful warrior Guinevere (Red Spear) in the Netflix series Cursed - Frank Miller's (Sin City) modern adaptation of the Arthurian legend.
Bella Dayne's other television projects include recurring roles on Trust (FX) as Talitha Pol Getty, American Horror Story (FX) , Man in the High Castle (Amazon), a regular role on the popular British series Plebs (ITV / HULU), and Person of Interest (CBS) and the comedy The Goldbergs.
Her first role in a German-language production caused a stir: Bella Dayne played the leading role in Berlin's "Tatort: The girl who goes home alone" (2022), the wife of a Russian mafia boss who wants to put her husband behind bars and starts an affair with detective Nina Rubin (Meret Becker) . For this she was honored with an award for " Outstanding Performance As An Actress" at the TeleVisionale Baden-Baden. Most recently, Bella Dayne stood in front of the camera for the fourth season of the series "Das Boot" (Sky/HULU) and in the female lead role for Oskar Roehler's feature film 8 ¼, with Oliver Masucci in the male lead role. She also recently finished a comedy series for Amazon with Moritz Bleibtreu. In the beginning of 2024 she will star as the lead in a British-produced feature film, a drama that will be shot and set in Scotland.
Being the daughter of a professional athlete and a doctor, she followed in her father's footsteps at a young age and became a professional high diver, competing professional. She also completed extensive training in various dance styles such as ballet, modern dance, flamenco, jazz, street dance and salsa.
